TERMS OF BUSINESS

Boats on our moorings or laid up in the yard may only be worked on by the owner, Lincombe Boatyard personnel or sub-contractors engaged by Lincombe Boatyard Companies.

Owners are NOT to bring their own sub-contractors into Lincombe Boatyard premises without the permission of Winters Marine Ltd.

A charge will be made for tidying up any mess left by owners around boats.

All boats, equipment and stores therein are stored or moored strictly at owners risk.

All work carried out will be invoiced each month and invoices are payable within thirty days. Interest will be charged at the rate of 2.5%per month on outstanding invoices.

All vessels lifted at discretion of crane operator and boatyard management.

Owners must provide their own ladders and correctly secure them to their boat. Lincombe Boatyard accepts no responsibility for anyone using borrowed and/or unsecured ladders.

Owners are to ensure that any tools and equipment used comply with current health and safety regulations.

All vessels must be covered by a minimum £3,000,000 3rd party liability insurance.

Only boatyard staff may adjust boat supports.

BOATS WILL ONLY BE LAUNCHED IF THE OWNER IS PRESENT OR KEYS ARE SUPPLIED.

Laying Up Ashore

Bring boat to yard, slip and block up
Pressure wash hull below waterline
Unstep mast - recommended for all boats
Check interior of boat monthly for damp etc.
Service liferaft, lifejackets, check safety gear, expiry dates (flares etc.)
Arrange rig check and report
Remove sails for overhaul, repair, cleaning
Valet interior
Polish hull
Apply Propspeed paint system to prop/shaft to prevent fouling
Antifoul hull and/or boot tops
Painting/varnishing required
Connect to power supply
GRP Repairs
Wood repairs
Engineering Repairs/Servicing.
Electronics
